Amerikalinjen Hotel Oslo

Nordic Hotel Consulting advised SpareBank 1 Forsikring on an initial feasibility study, operator search and contract negotiations for the development of the Amerikalinjen Hotel in Oslo. The hotel is operated by Nordic Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel is located in a historical building on Jernbanetorget, the largest transport hub in Norway. The building is known as the headquarters of the Norwegian American Line (NAL), a shipping company that enabled thousands of Norwegians to emigrate to the USA.

During the construction phase, the historical value of the building was taken into account. The interior design was also inspired by the former use of the premises. The boutique hotel features 122 rooms and suites and several F&B outlets – Atlas Café and Brasserie. Haven restaurant, Pier 42 bar and Gustaf,  a club inspired by New York’s jazz scene. The hotel was opened in March 2019.
