Operator Search
Contract Negotiations
Ibis Styles Copenhagen
NHC advised Skanska on the operator search and contract negotiations for a 6.000 square meters hotel that is a part of the Nest45 project. Ultimately, Borealis Hotel Group was selected to operate the hotel under the Ibis Styles brand by signing a long-term lease agreement with Skanska. The project marks the entry of another international operator to the Copenhagen market and the return of the Ibis Styles brand.
Skanska invested DKK 585 million in Nest45, a second phase of the Ørestad City project. Ørestad is a developing city area in Copenhagen with eye-catching modern architecture. It is slowly becoming the “it” commercial and residential area due to its attractive location. Aside from the hotel, the Nest45 project will consist of 8.300 square meters of office space. The building will also include a staff canteen, atrium, lounge area, roof terrace and outdoor gym. The business hotel will have 186 rooms, a restaurant and a bar. The project is to be completed in 2022.
Quotes from Press Release:
"We are very pleased to establish our first hotel in Copenhagen. In close cooperation with Skanska and our preferred partner Accor, we have developed a fantastic hotel under the Ibis Styles brand, which combines business and leisure in the right way. We can offer our guests a hotel with an unbeatable location, having the Bella Center conference facilities across the street, a metro station just outside the door allowing to reach the heart of Copenhagen in 7 minutes, and a public car park for those arriving by car.
