Moxy Copenhagen
Nordic Hotel Consulting advised Vastint Hospitality on the acquisition of the development site for the Moxy Copenhagen. The hotel is operated by Core Hospitality under a franchise agreement with Marriott.
The 226-rooms hotel is the first Moxy hotel in Denmark. The property is located in Sydhavnen, a former fishing area that is now experiencing an architectural boom. The hotel was opened in March 2019
Quotes from Press Release:
“Moxy Copenhagen is our first Moxy hotel, and it finally looks like we will be introducing the brand to the market. It is going to be a great addition to the Copenhagen hotel market with its unique and exciting concept. Moxy will be a big boost for Core Hospitality and Zleep Hotels as well. We increase our presence in the Copenhagen hotel market appropriately,”
Peter Haaber, CEO of Zleep Hotels and former CEO of Core Hospitality
“Sydhavnen has emerged as the newest up-and-coming area in Copenhagen. The market offers an ideal mix of large office spaces, strong transportation infrastructure, dozens of new residential properties, a leading university, world class shopping, top tourist destinations, and some of the best restaurateurs on the food scene in near proximity. Our business plan was to capitalize on this and build a hotel for Copenhageners and guests alike who desire a truly authentic experience. Moxy Copenhagen was designed to cater to the new demographic of Sydhavnen and is unlike any hotel in its marketplace. During the day you’ll find locals and travelers working and playing side-by-side at the Moxy. At night, you might find them challenging each other to a game of Jenga or toasting with cocktails.”
Per Denker Sørensen, CEO of Core Hospitality
